It’s sad that country music has strayed away from its roots and tradition such as music and songs like this this is they way country music was meant to be time doesn’t change people change and to know that great songs and music like this have faded far away into the past I grew up listening to songs like this and many other great songs although we’ve sadly lost all the amazingly talented singers and songwriters over the years it truly saddens me that we lost the true roots of country music and will never get it back again and that many generations will never have the chance to experience it I’m so glad I was one of the lucky ones that did get the chance too this kinda music is now a part of the by-gone era of generations past i will be turning 50 this year and so glad I was part of a generation before technology took over my link to my past are held mostly in my memory or old Polaroid pictures or videotapes and not I-phones or iCloud

My husband asked me to play this song for our boys whenever they needed it. He passed when they were 11 and 7 years old. To this day I can’t listen to it without crying. How I wish he would play it for them.

My 3rd grade science teacher Miss. Patterson (changed when she married but I don't remember) made my class at my elementary school CD disks for us all, a bunch of pictures and videos through the whole thing of our entire year. Loved that woman like my own mother, she was the absolute sweetest and probably one of the only teachers who actually cared about me at my old district. This was one of the songs she put in, and to this day, graduated and 19, I remember it so clear. Wasn't able to find the name of the song until now. I hope she knows how much she changed my life and was an unspeakable honor and help getting through school. She has no idea what her very existence and kindness did to help me. I'll never forget her.
